General Manager – Finance and Administration

Main Duties

        • Provide the CEO with an overview of the Company’s financial status for he/she to make sound decisions about the Company future development
  • Work with the CEO to develop clear, strategic and sustainable objectives
  • Be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, forecast, budgeting, tax compliance, treasury controlling, investment, insurance, and audit related activities of the Company
  • Identify cost effective and efficient opportunities within the Company
  • Work with the CEO to introduce and drive the changes to enhance productivity and the Company’s profit margin
  • Work with the CEO to support the fiduciary duties, internal controls, corporate governance and Companies Ordinance compliance responsibilities of the Board of Directors
  • Work with the CEO to ensure the integrity for completeness, accuracy and validity of financial statements to comply with HKFRS and Company Ordinance
  • Be responsible to prepare all financial related management reports, trend analysis, budget and forecast and communicating to business units and shareholders periodically
  • Provide professional advices to the management team and business units for any finance related issues
  • Actively review all financial plans and budgets, and to report any significant changes to the CEO and management team
  • Ensure the taxation reports and annual audit exercise are being done in compliance with related Ordinance and legislative requirements
  • Closely review the billing and invoicing status of customers airlines and ensure the financial stability of the Company
  • Be responsible for the cost management functions which include payroll execution and related tax reporting and MPF administrative work , and review the procurement and purchasing of Company assets, equipment, tools, etc
  • Ensure the corporate administrative functions including but not limited to commercial licensing, registrations, applications and declarations are managed efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure the corporate insurance policies are timely renewed or replaced and the amount of coverage is sufficient to protect the Company
  • Perform the Company Secretary role required under Companies Ordinance, review and ensure the compliance with all contracts and agreements including joint venture projects, entered into by CASL
  • Oversee the franchise agreements and keep close communication with Airport Authority Hong Kong
  • Co-work with external lawyers and seek for support on legal advices
  • Be the secretary of Board meeting for minutes preparing and communication agent
  • Handle the claims for aircraft and traffic accidents compensations from / to the third parties in a tactical manner to protect the interest of the Company
  • Work closely with Human Resource Department to communicate changes in remuneration and staff benefit items
  • Oversee Facility Management Department to provide the maintenance, renovation and repairing support of facilities / equipment in  the Company’s  premises
  • Provide support on new systems development and implement changes as needed
  • Work closely with bankers on bank loans and monitor compliance with loan covenants and repayments

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Accounting or Finance (also major in commercial law preferred)
  • Financial profession with at least 10 years proven commercial accounting and finance experience in senior management position. Audit experience with big four and FCPA membership of HKICPA or CPA Australia is a must
  • Proven strengths in building and sustaining working relationships and persuasively communicating Company goal and needs
  • Strong analytical ability and wealth of financial knowledge to support problem solving and resolution of conflicts with various parties
  • Excellent relationship building skills with an ability to prioritise, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to provide leadership to a team and to motivate and develop team members
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Excels and Accounting Systems
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-tasking with a high level of completeness, accuracy and validity to meet tight timelines
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English and Chinese, presentation and negotiation skills
