Accounting Manager

Main Duties

Accounting and Financial Roles

  1. In-charge of full set of financial accounts, review accounting records, analysis schedules and other financial reports to ensure completeness, accuracy and validity of General Ledgers, Sub-Ledgers for financial statements to be prepared and comply with HKFRS and Company Ordinance
  2. Responsible for monthly management accounts, cash flows and other accounting analysis as well as monthly financial accounts/reports prepared for Shareholders
  3. Ensure financial integrity in safeguarding financial assets of Company with all receipts and payments to comply with internal control procedures, authority limit and systems and policies approved by management
  4. Prepare tax accounts to comply with Inland Revenue Ordinance and IRD Internal Practice Notes for tax returns to be submitted to IRD
  5. Prepare draft audit accounts and provide analysis schedules to support annual audit
  6. Prepare confidential payroll and oversee payroll team (including payroll, autopay, MPF administration and salary tax)

Financial Planning and Budgeting

  1. Supervise preparation of Scorecards for management information
  2. Prepare annual budget, 5-year forecast with supporting assumption underlying budget
  3. Prepare quarterly forecast

Management Duties

  1. Daily supervision and coaching accounting team for on-time completion of accounting tasks / jobs to enable monthly accounts / annual accounts / budget / forecasts to be completed on time
  2. Assist in the development and documentation and processes to maintain integrity of finance and strengthen internal controls


  • Degree holder in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 5 years proven commercial accounting and finance experience in senior management position. Audit experience with CPA membership is a plus
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Excels and Sun Accounting Systems
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high level of completeness, accuracy and validity to meet tight timelines
  • Willingness to learn and continuous improvement for process and system development
  • High level of initiative and independence as well as communication and organizational ability
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of team members
  • Candidates with less experience would be considered as Accountant
