Paper Plane Contest with Eye-opening Fun

CASL and Japan Airlines (JAL) joined hands to give more than 100 primary school students from 2 Hong Kong Japanese Schools a special “flying” experience on 9 and 11 November.

JAL staff taught the students how to fold paper planes with longest airtime, by incorporating origami skills and the mechanism of a real aircraft. After that, students had an exciting contest at CASL hangar with their own paper planes. Six winners from the two-day contests were presented special gifts and certificates prepared by CASL and JAL.

Dr Angus Cheung, CEO of CASL said: “We support and organise these events with aims at inspiring youngsters’ interests in aviation and encouraging them to pursue their dreams.” Students felt excited about this memorable experience of flying paper planes in a real hangar.
