CASL is pleased to announce that Hutchison Whampoa (China) Limited completed the transfer of its 20% stake in CASL to the Gama Aviation Group on 8 March 2018 while Hutchison Whampoa (China) Limited has acquired an approximately 21% stake in the Gama Aviation Group.

Upon completion of the transfer of the 20% stake in CASL, the Gama Aviation Group has taken the place of Hutchison Whampoa (China) Limited as one of CASL’s shareholders while the respective shareholdings of the other shareholders of CASL, namely China National Aviation Corporation (Group) Limited, United Airlines, Inc and China Airlines Limited, remain unchanged.

Given the specialization of the Gama Aviation Group in business jets, CASL would be benefited from its shareholder’s support to expand CASL’s MRO capability in the field of business aviation maintenance services.  CASL is pleased to announce that it has obtained the approvals of HKAR-145, FAR-145 and OTAR-145 to provide A/C-checks and 24 months checks for Bombardier BD700 Series (G5000) and Gulfstream GIV-X Series/ GV-SP Series/ GVI Series (G350/ G450/ G550/ G650/ G650ER). 

By the augmented scope of MRO capability on business jets maintenance, the change of shareholder would mark a milestone for CASL on its uplifted performance and sustainable growth.
