Memorandum of Understanding Signed between CASL and Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) The Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between six significant aviation industry partners and Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) was held on 4 July 2019 at THEi Tsing Yi Campus. Dr. Angus Cheung, Chief Excecutive Officer of CASL, has joined hands with Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, Dah Chong Hong - Dragonair Airport GSE Service Limited, Dragon General Aviation Group Limited, Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO) and Pan Asia Pacific Aviation Services Limited to sign the Memorandum of Understanding to offer Hong Kong’s first BEng (Hons) in Aircraft Engineering students at THEi aircraft maintenance practical training and valuable internship opportunities.
Sold the software of Virtual Reality Training System to university for educational purpose CASL sold the first Virtual Reality (VR) Training System software to Chaoyang University of Technology (CYUT) in Taiwan for educational purpose of A320/A321aircraft. The VR Training System features a realistic and immersive apron environment, makes it possible for students to practice walk-around inspection in a virtual context. CASL will provide software installation and the associated trainings to CYUT. CYUT is the first private technology university in Taiwan. In order to cultivate local aviation professionals, the department of Aeronautical Engineering of CYUT was established on 15 May 2018 which provides courses in Aviation Maintenance, Composite Material and Smart Machinery. CASL is pleased to provide the software of the training kit to CYUT. It enables CASL ‘s new VR Training System is no longer limited to the use of on-job training, but also extends to the educational sector, offering a more realistic and professional training system for potential aviation talents which could contribute to global aviation industry.
Nine CASL staff members received the “Cross-Company Excellence Awards” The HKIA Customer Service Excellence Programme (CSEP) 2019 Award Presentation was successfully held on 21 June 2019. The CSEP Awards were launched in 2002 to recognise outstanding individuals, teams and companies for service excellence, and to encourage the airport community to continuously pursue exceptional customer service. Nine cabin service staff of CASL received the “Cross-Company Excellence Awards” for successful retrieving a backpack with 4 passports and a large amount of cash for a group of 14 Dragonair’s passengers on 2nd April 2018. The passengers were highly impressed and a compliment letter was given by them for our good services.
Congratulations to Japan Airlines Hong Kong Branch CASL would like to extend its warm congratulations to Japan Airlines (JAL) Hong Kong branch, which received its internal award of FY2018 Best Performance International Airport among 43 overseas branches, for the outstanding performance on Safety, On time Performance, Value Score, Good Service Mile and Airport Revenue Growth. As a token of gratitude, JAL also presented a Certificate of Appreciation to CASL in recognition of our effort in providing quality service and the continuous contribution made.
