OUHK and CASL Academic Alliance Agreement Signing Ceremony

In order to cope with the growth in the aviation industry, the Hong Kong Open University (OUHK) and China Aircraft Services Limited (CASL) jointly launched a programme named “Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering” to nurture more aircraft maintenance talent.  This programme principally provides further training on aircraft maintenance for CASL’s maintenance mechanics and also helps prepare them to sit for the Civil Aviation Department's HKAR–66 Aircraft Maintenance License examinations (Categories A and B1).

The academic alliance agreement signing ceremony was held at the OUHK’s campus on 28 Sep 2011, the agreement was signed by Prof. Leung Chun-ming, Vice President (Technology & Development) of OUHK (2nd from the left) and Dr. Angus Cheung, Chief Executive Officer of CASL (2nd from the right). It was witnessed by Prof. Ho Kin-chung, Dean of School of Science and Technology of OUHK (1st from the left) and Mr. Patrick Li, General Manager of Line Maintenance of CASL.
